DataWise Version Updates

The changes in each new version of DataWise Report Writer available via the webupdate button are listed below.

As your subscription enables you to free updates, we encourage you to do the web updates regularly and take advantage of the new features and reports available. (Note: if you are using older versions with EDI solutions, please contact us first).

Version 9-6-50 -  03.08.2010

New Feature to copy an existing company. Great for setting up multiple companies with same chart of accounts. Set up just one, then copy as many times as reqiuired. Point to the original data file and simply update.

New Feature in Forecast Section. New budgeting Tab. Budgets can now be developed and maintained separately if required. Old method still available for users to decide which method suits them better. 

 

 Version 9.6.47 - 15.6.2010

Bugs fixed

Job variance report print order changed to ensure correct printing sort order in all circumstances.
Refresh now occurs each time after changes to account types and [Process] is run so no error displayed.
If report not found at stored path, application will attempt to find it at the current location before reporting an error.
Intermittent "P13" error in standardised report fixed.

Enhancements

Monthly Variance Report now has a "SUMMARY" check box option which produces a totals-only one-page version.

Multiple-Company Macros enhanced with 5 different options

Multiple-Company update from MYOB will update actuals from MYOB for an unlimited number of selected companies automatically.

1. DataWise budgets can be uploaded to MYOB files for any combination of year combinations.
2. Can synchronise all companies to a single chart of accounts. Very useful where charts are mutually exclusive and account changes are made to MYOB, and need to have account types updated in each DataWise file.
3. Synchronise consolidated mappings for similar charts.
4. Copy Forecast budget and forecast data backwards or forwards across years

Bugs fixed

Filters for "contains" and "like" enhanced for easier selecting  of Customers.identifiers
Setting Print preview on/off caused error renaming control description -  now fixed

 

Version 9.6.41 - 11.5.2010

 Programme enhancements

Pastel Accounting import option for Budgeting and Forecasting.
AutoJnls now use 60 buckets allowing variable rate calculations over the forecast period.
Added search button to "transactions zoom" view

Bugs fixed

Ensure connections closed completely after import for multiple companies.
Ratio Report \ Company summary output to Excel and PDF now working correctly.

 Import error with Journal reference field being length 8 causing problems with cashflow report now reduced to length 6 Upgrade new level security field now makes all reports level3 first time upgraded.  
Improved import duplicate report  error checking.

Programme enhancements

New programming control (Thisform.xpdataok of  type True\False) is a new control which allows a user to control when data is refreshed. Introduced for handling very large amounts of data, and avoids re-running data extracts on the output screen, giving improved performance. This control is applied automatically, but data can be refreshed at any time using the "Refresh Data" button on the Output tab.   

User level 3 access field - This new field on the report form can be set to 1, meaning that the report will be available to users at level 1 only,  or 2 (for level 1 and 2 users) or 3 ( for access by all users). Thus a user at level 3 will only be able to see those reports set to 3. 

Landed cost application button to launch the new application created by Colin Stuttle. This application is great for anyone handling purchases of imported items at full landed cost, with duties and shipping costs etc. received on different invoices.             67 - Consolidate P & L version of report 21.
            68 - Transactions missing category codes.

Bugs fixed

Offline button sometimes become disabled if an error occurs running a report. Should refresh when form regains focus.
Select table dialog box appeared when exclusive use of reportlist table could not be achieved. The program now ignore updates in this case as they should already have been done.
