One way in
Every ProActive UI opens with the same screen — choose a Connector, choose a company file, Enter. Learn it once and you have learned all of them.
What it is doing while you look at it
- Finding the Connector. On this PC or on another one — a Connector on the server can serve every desk in the building, and the list names the ones it can reach.
- Listing your company files. Not folders, not paths — the companies that Connector actually keeps, ready to open.
- Opening the one you choose in its own colour, the colour you gave it in the Connector, so two companies on screen at once are never confused.
- Telling support what it needs. The version is on the screen, and RemotePC is one button, so nobody has to read a number down the phone.
Build it into your own application
The login screen ships with its source. Your developer can drop it into an application of your own and inherit the whole of it — finding the Connector, listing the company files, opening the right one — instead of writing any of it again.
Your application then behaves like ours on the way in, which is the part your people already know, and you spend your money on the part that is actually yours.
