What comes across from Xero
Everything financial and sales-side, on ordinary read-only Xero permissions.
- Chart of accounts and budgets — laid out so every DataWise financial report runs unchanged.
- Contacts — customers and suppliers, with what they owe and what is overdue.
- Sales invoices and credit notes, and bills and supplier credits — every line, with what has been paid and what is still due.
- Bank transactions and manual journals — spend, receive and the year-end adjustments.
- Trial balance by month — the ledger movements Xero lets you read.
- Items, tax rates and tracking categories.
- Payroll employees — into a password-protected company database only.
Being straight about what Xero does not hold. Xero has no sales orders, no reorder levels and no committed stock, so the screens built on those — Sales Invoicing and Dispatch Viewer — are not offered for Xero. Everything financial is there.
Read-only, and yours
- Your Xero organisation stays exactly as it is. The Connector only ever reads. It asks Xero for read permissions and nothing else, so it could not write back even if asked to.
- The database lives on your computer, in a folder you choose. Stop subscribing and the data stays right where it is, still readable by anything.
- You sign in on Xero's own screen, so your password stays between you and Xero — and you can disconnect the app from inside Xero whenever you like.
- Lock a company database if you want to — optional password encryption, per organisation, your choice.
